Job Summary:

Your duties as a warehouse assistant include managing materials by receiving, unpacking, and organizing them, picking orders, and preparing outbound shipments. Operating forklifts, ensuring quality control, complying with health and safety regulations, and keeping accurate records of all inventory movements are also required. Your contributions play a vital role in maintaining optimal warehouse operations, which are essential for the company's success.

Responsibilities:

• Knowing the load-carrying capacity and limitations of the forklift is vital for proper loading and unloading operations to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage
• The proper management of railcar components, like the opener, hopper, and lids, can greatly reduce the likelihood of cargo damage during transit
• Working to establish strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and clients in the elevator industry
• Effective cleaning and maintenance of an area may entail using various cleaning methods, such as sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming to remove debris and dirt from all surfaces in a thorough and meticulous manner
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the unloading area, railcar area, and equipment will allow for easier inspection, repair, and maintenance, reducing downtime and improving productivity
